Originally known as 'Mundesley Dramatic Society',
and after several years of inactivity, The Players were re-formed in 1979 following an inspiration by Patrick and Joan Bonham and the late Tony Randall to utilize local talent.
Since that date, over 87 productions have been performed by The Mundesley Players at The Coronation Hall and have included musicals, plays, music halls, carnivals, play readings and carol singing. Productions have taken place on Cromer Pier as well as at Sheringham Little Theatre and at various village halls for one-night performances.
We have always encouraged membership from a wide age range anywhere between 5 and 105 and our members come from all walks of life including teachers, nurses, plumbers, shop-keepers, taxi drivers and a dentist. The Junior Players have staged several productions with a cast consisting entirely of children. These shows have included The Wizard of Oz which has been produced twice, Alice in Wonderland and Joseph and his Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat.
Following Mundesley Players financial success over the years, new lighting equipment, stage materials, scenery and props were purchased by us, as well as an extensive wardrobe collection and stage extensions. We are also proud to have been able to put on many fund-raising events for various charities.
The Mundesley Players are members of NODA, the Norfolk Operatic Dramatic Society, and are always well supported by our local representative.

We are currently looking for new members to come and join our team.
We are particularly looking for a musical director, someone who can play a Piano/Keyboard and who is willing to attend rehearsals on a Friday and Sunday evening., and obviously for the Show week as well. We enjoy putting on Musicals, but without a Musical Director, it is difficult. We usually do 2/3 shows a year. If you are interested, please contact John King, whose contact details are below.
If you feel like "treading the boards", we would love to hear from you. We are looking for budding actors particularly from the younger age groups, but any age from 5 to 85 will always be welcome.
Maybe you haven't got that burning desire to be on stage and would like to help us behind the scenes, again we would love you to get in touch with us.
We are delighted that one of our founder members, Jeny Walding was recently made an Honorary Member along with four other very loyal and long-serving members.

Our current membership fees are:
Adults: £15. Over 60's: £10 Under 17: £5 (if involved in shows).
Well, we hold various social events throughout the year and to date we have held Murder Mystery evenings, Quiz nights and Treasure hunts, to name just a few. We also get involved in the local fêtes and Mundesley's soap-box derby.
